30th Annual Forum for Information Professionals Conference:

Libraries of the Future

Where We’re Going, There Are No Roads

Location: Rutherford Library South, University of Alberta campus.  Registration will take place on the main floor, indicated by signage.

Transportation: Rutherford South is located across from the bus loop on the North Campus of the University of Alberta.  The closest LRT station is “University.”  Paid parking is available nearby in the HUB mall parking lot.

For the 30th year, SLIS students are holding the Forum for Information Professionals (FIP) conference.  On Friday, February 5th, 2016 this annual student-run event, formerly known as Professional Development Day, will bring together library students and professionals for a day of student presentations and exchanging ideas.  Keynote speakers include Annie Pho, an Undergraduate Experience Librarian from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a 2014 ALA Emerging Leader, and Michael Gourlie and Braden Cannon from the Provincial Archives of Alberta.
