This month kicks off the Raise a Librarian crowdfunding campaign to raise money to help the University of Alberta’s Library and Information Studies student groups develop opportunities for students to practice the skills they need to become professional librarians.
The Library and Information Studies Student’s Association groups allow students to start developing their professionals skills, become a part of the library community, and impact their local communities through projects promoting literacy and intellectual freedom. This conference is just one of these many initiatives. In order to do this we are aiming to raise $5000 in 30 days.
Last year the Forum for Information Professionals celebrated its 30th year- and we are looking to celebrating 30 more!
